Brunch Wedding at Georama Growers

October 11, 2019

Do you like breakfast? Do you like lunch? Do you like mimosas and bacon and waffles and punch? Then you need a Brunch Wedding at Georama Growers!

From the moment Brittany and Mike asked me to be their wedding photographer, I felt I’d stumbled onto something very special. Not only are they funny and kind and thoughtful and inviting, but they are curious and adventurous and strong and delightful. Just like a good mimosa. Or a waffle with peanut butter and maple syrup and bacon and maybe a little bit of whipped cream and some strawberries, along with a side of eggs. Sunny side up, of course.

Brunch Wedding at Georama Growers

They hosted their wedding at Georama Growers, a greenhouse and meadow overlooking Kootenay Lake. While some would say the weather didn’t cooperate, finicky rain and thunderous downpours took turns through the day, it actually added another element of anticipation and wonder. In fact, as Brittany slipped the ring on Mike’s finger, a sunbeam blasted through the trees and lit their way down the aisle of the confetti recessional.

Brunch was crafted by Hume Hotel and if you didn’t already know about their legendary brunches, maybe that’s your plan for the weekend. Starbird Bakehouse did a glorious job of their wedding cake, some of which did land on Brittany’s dress… but the icing matched Mike’s tie so somehow that was totally ok. Flowers and bridal crown were by Georama, and everyone’s hair, except for the guys, was done by Aura Salon. And it was all put together by the talented Wild Smile Events.

Brittany and Mike, the world has good things in store for you. Thank you for bringing the pineapples.
