Brittany and Clayton chose a gorgeous fall day for their Blaylock Mansion wedding. They were beautiful and happy and everyone was blissed out by the fall sunshine.
As a Wedding Photographer, I document not only the bride and groom but especially their families and friends. A wedding is the only time in your lives that all of these people will be together. That alone makes it extraordinarily special. And Brittany and Clayton’s Blaylock Mansion wedding was no exception.
Wedding photography is one of the most meaningful investments you will make when you get married. Wedding photos are the only document you will have of your wedding. The meaningfulness of your wedding photos will change as you grow together. The photos you get from your wedding are some of the only ones you will have of the people you love!
Brittany and Clayton’s Blacklock Mansion Wedding
Brittany and Clayton have created such a beautiful family. They met several years ago, but it was some time before their stars aligned. And when that happened, they were touched with even a little more magic: their son Wilder was born.
Clayton asked me to photograph their surprise engagement after we met at Brittany’s sister Courtney and Sean’s Kootenay Lakeview resort wedding. It’s so meaningful to document multiple families as they grow, to be trusted their moments will be safe with me. And to see their little guys change and grow together at these big events… how cool it will be for them all to look back at their parents’ photographs.
This adds another dimension to my photographic approach. I’m shooting for my client, but my client is also their family and children. I want their kids to be able to look at mom and dad’s wedding album and remember what they were doing, how it felt. And to be able to see their parents on the day that brought their family even closer together.
